## Why now

PR #170 was merged on 2026-05-22. It added a receipt status badge, async client-side receipt verification through the existing helper, missing-header handling, and safer wallet event loading. The next commercial step is a concise receipt trust contract that tells buyer agents and users exactly which states are safe to trust before/after payment.

## Deliverables

1. Fixture table for valid receipt, missing receipt, malformed receipt, verifier rejection and stale async verification.
2. Copy-ready buyer-agent receipt contract: trusted fields, non-trusted UI text, retry and support escalation rules.
3. Four no-spend browser screenshots or screenshot scripts for each user-facing state.
4. Regression checklist around `ReceiptStatusBadge`, `verifyReceipt()` failure handling and wallet event lifecycle.
5. GitHub appendix maintainers can paste into a follow-up issue or release note.

## Boundaries

No wallet signing, paid x402 call, transfer, bridge, swap, spend, private keys or legal/payment-term acceptance. If a live paid settlement trace is ever requested, Peter approval is required first.
