# HappyVertical Base USDC Adapter Readiness Packet

## Scope

1. Map `BaseUsdcAdapter` to the #1032 `PaymentBackend` interface.
2. Split mocked tests from a small opt-in Base RPC smoke gate.
3. Define local `X-Payment` parsing, on-chain confirmation, replay/idempotency, refund metadata, and hot-wallet boundaries.
4. Produce README-ready setup notes without requiring secrets in CI.

No wallet signing, spending, transfer, bridge, swap, staking, or private-key handling is included.
